Barcelona 26th july 2006 - After recently reaching its first anniversary, the EHoteling on-line room sale service has brought in 4 new establishments in the past two months, for which it will sell the almost 1,000 rooms in the hotels by internet.

The EHoteling on-line room sale service celebrated its first anniversary and the good welcome it has had on the market. One year ago, Apsis Hotels began to manage the first on-line bookings achieved for the Hotel del Compte in Barcelona, the first to contract the EHoteling service. Today, 23 hotels have delegated responsibility on EHoteling for managing the sale of their rooms on Internet.

This was reported last week by the general manager Mr. Gerard Gràcia. Galan, who until now had been e-comerce manager & Revenue management of the hotel chain, willl take on new responsibilities with this post although he will continue to manage the Apsis Hotels e-business department.

Apsis Hotels, the hotel chain started in 2003 with its centre in Barcelona, had a turnover in 2005 of over 24 million euros, an increase of 42% over the previous year. For 2006, the chain expects a turnover of 32 million and to thus continue to grow.These data confirm that for Apsis Hotels, 2005 was a year of expansion and growth, as the chain closed the year 2004 with 6 hotels, and did so in 2005 with 13. In 2005, the chain brought in its only hotel in Madrid, the Apsis Moderno; it opened two hotels in the province of Girona, the Apsis Sant Ferriol and the Apsis Nord Gironí; it consolidated its presence in Barcelona with the Apsis BCN Events and the Apsis Gran Ronda, and opened the Apsis Florida, the second hotel of the chain in Andorra.

The Apsis Hotels hotel chain recently appointed Yasmina Alonso Aragón the new manageress of Apsis BCN Events, in Castelldefels.

Yasmina, 31, has a degree in Company Administration and Management from Barcelona University, and has developed the bulk of her professional career in the field of audits, according to the company.

The Catalan Apsis Hotels chain starts its process of European expansion by opening its first establishment in France on 15th June: the hotel Apsis Luchon. The hotel is in the French Pyrenees, 35 kilometres from Vielha. The new, 4-star establishment, is in a completely restored late 19th century palace in the main street of the village of Luchon. The refurbishment process maintained the main façade, giving the interior an avant-garde design and modern installations. The hotel, with 40 rooms, is scarcely 100 metres from the chair lift to one of the ski slopes of the region.Apsis hotels was born in  2003 and has undergone a rapid expansion process. The year 2004 closed with six establishments, whereas in 2005 there were already 13. The chain has hotels in Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Andorra and now, in Luchon.The expansion outside Spain forms part of the objectives that Apsis Hotels has set for the short-medium term, in addition to maintaining its objectives of consolidation and expansion at home. This year, the eighth hotel will be opened in Barcelona, and in 2007 Apsis Hotels is planning its first opening in Paris.

Barcelona 24th August 2006 – In the past August, the Apsis Hotels chain signed a collaboration agreement with the renowned spa centre, with which it will begin to work from September.
