Find out what you can bring and what you can’t bring

luggageAirports are pretty strict on what you can bring, and what you can’t bring, and they won’t hesitate to confiscate on what you bring, in case it breaks the airport rules. Our tip is to check the website or contact the airport staff regarding of what you’re going to bring, just in case that you’re afraid it might get taken away in the airport. An example of what you can’t take to an airport is liquid; it is profoundly stressed that no liquid in any form or sizes is allowed during the checking process.

Dress casually

Yes, it can be quite cold in the airport, but we suggest to dress casually, probably one jacket and a scarf is enough. Why? The answer is simple as we’re going through a checking process, and during the checking process the staff will ask to remove any layers of clothing but the shirt and pants, which will take a lot of time if you’re wearing a lot of layers. So make sure you dress casually, to avoid annoying the staff and other passengers as you have to remove the clothes during the checking process.

Tip: dress with single but thick layers to make sure that you’re warm wherever you go, as it can be quite cold especially during winter.

Boarding pass

Screenshot your boarding pass and save it on your phone in case you have to show it, doing this will save you time in case the airport doesn’t have a good signal for you to show your boarding pass. Another tip from us is to print your boarding pass as well, just in case your phone’s running out of battery and you didn’t bring a power bank or don’t have the time to charge during in the airport.

Making plans ahead

checklist
When you try to plan your vacation, make sure you’re not planning on the last minute, as ticket prices get expensive, hotels are probably booked, and you’re going to stick with a far more costly trip rather than a budget trip that you were planning at first. So make sure to plan your trip and look out for promos or discounts, as travel agencies might offer you just those sweet, sweet deals.

Travel off-season

fun
Booking a trip during a holiday season such as Christmas will make the ticket price skyrocket, which is not something you want during budget traveling. High-season can vary depending on your destination, as sometimes they have their holiday or certain seasons (for example, Chuseok, which is a national holiday for South Korean people.) But usually avoiding spring and summer holidays is your safest bet to get a low ticket price.

Avoid regular hotels

Regular hotels are nice as they provide you with everything you need during your trip, but they can get quite expensive for your travel. So, opt for other options such as capsule hotel which is cheaper or uses Airbnb instead as you can choose the place you’re going to stay, which usually can be a lot less expensive than staying in a hotel. You might think that you’re not getting the same comfort in a hotel, but think of it like this, you’re out there for a vacation, not to stay in a hotel for the whole trip.

Check what’s free

check
When you’re going to another country most of their spots cost a lot to visit, especially if you’re going to an amusement park, mall, and many places. But believe it or not, certain countries might offer you some tourist spots that are cheap or free, for example, museums, art galleries and many more, so make sure to research where you’re going in your destination.
